Yigang Shen's E-Harbour, a floating charging station for electric boats, is an innovative design that addresses the growing need for sustainable energy in maritime transport. With its unique modular design, it offers a solution to the lack of infrastructure for electric yachts and other water vehicles, while also responding to the challenges posed by climate change and rising water levels.

The E-Harbour stands out for its unique properties. As electric yachts gain popularity, the lack of infrastructure to support their range of journey becomes evident. The E-Harbour addresses this gap by providing a clean energy supply for various water vehicles and temporary berths for charging and replenishment. The modular design allows for the creation of individual floating islands or groups in coastal communities. Furthermore, the design includes the potential addition of self-sailing power banks with solar power to distribute energy.

The design draws inspiration from the construction principle of a self-supporting space station. The floating platform, reminiscent of a lighthouse, directs mariners to the charging station with its reflective light. This design is not only a sustainable strategy for every haven city, but also a response to the rising water levels caused by global warming.

The E-Harbour is made from corrosion-resistant steel, packed with a glass fibre surface to protect the main body with all electrical requirements. The improved charging technology guarantees the safety of charging on water and transports electricity from land, wind energy, or the power bank. The wind and solar energy technologies support the E-Harbour's self-maintenance. The construction of the stable floating platform on water was inspired by oil drilling platforms.

The interactive process of the E-Harbour is designed to be efficient, convenient, and safe, similar to the normal charging method for electric vehicles on land. Users can complete all charging processes through a simple and clear operation interface, selecting the charging mode, power level, and payment method.
