Golden A' Design Award Winner, Lianghao Zha, Unveils His Latest Creation

Named after the German dog breed, the Doberman Chair is not just a piece of furniture, but a work of art. Its design inspiration stems from the Doberman dog, with the mahogany material chosen for its similar color to the breed. The side view of the chair is designed based on the golden ratio, a testament to Zha's meticulous attention to detail.

The Doberman Chair is not just about aesthetics. It's about providing a comfortable space for relaxation and work. The chair features a suspended backrest and a long seat size, both covered with black leather. The design aims to offer a quiet and comfortable place, suitable for various environments, from cafes and restrooms to homes and workplaces.

The chair's realization involved the use of high-quality materials, including mahogany wood and black leather. The project, which started in January 2015 and concluded in July of the same year, was carried out in Shanghai. Despite the challenges faced in translating the design into an actual product, Zha and his team were able to create a chair that is not only visually appealing but also comfortable.

For his outstanding creation, Zha was awarded the Golden A' Design Award in 2021. This prestigious award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom.
