Adapted from real events, the Anti Crime TV series lifts the veil on the underworld forces and the relentless pursuit of justice. The poster, designed by Cinch Culture Media, is a visual representation of the series' core narrative. The design team, SunXiaomeng and FuYuzhe, drew inspiration from the story itself, utilizing suggestive elements to convey the plot's essence.
What sets this design apart is its unique use of metaphor. The concept poster employs white pigeons and black crows to symbolize the contrasting forces of justice and decadence. This creative approach not only makes the design stand out but also adds a layer of interpretative depth to the static poster.
The poster, measuring 74cm by 105cm, was realized through computer drawing and picture synthesis. The design process involved a harmonious blend of hand drawing, 3D modeling, and image synthesis. Despite the initial challenge of lacking relevant image materials for synthesis, the design team managed to create a unified and aesthetically pleasing visual.
Started in September 2019 and completed in November of the same year, the project was carried out in Beijing. The design process was underpinned by extensive research, with the team employing the form of a "fable" to add metaphorical explanations to the film's core. This approach enabled the poster to offer more extended interpretations.
The Anti Crime poster design has not gone unnoticed in the design world. In 2021, it was awarded Silver in A' Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design Award. This prestigious accolade is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise, innovation, and artistic skill. The award is a testament to Cinch Culture Media's commitment to creating designs that not only look good but also tell a compelling story.
