Etsy served as the inspiration for this unique and artistic annual report designed by Isidora Spajich. By incorporating hand lettering and illustrations, Spajich aimed to create a report that goes beyond the standard expectations and provides an entertaining experience. The goal was to keep readers engaged from cover to cover, making everyday information more enjoyable.
The Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg, USA provided the perfect environment for Spajich to learn and grow as a future designer. The 22-page booklet, consisting of a cover and 18 pages, is filled with vibrant colors and combines both informational and entertaining elements. The use of hand lettering, illustrations, charts, and tables adds a unique touch to the report.
The design process involved one week of research and planning, followed by the use of Adobe InDesign as the main program, along with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for additional alterations. The technical specifications of the report include a finished size of 8.5"x11" and a total of 22 pages.
Creating an artistic and entertaining annual report can have a significant impact on potential shareholders, encouraging them to become more involved in the business. Spajich conducted extensive research by exploring websites such as Behance, Pinterest, and Etsy for inspiration. With the guidance of an instructor, the decision was made to create a design that is both artistic and informative. The challenge was to stand out from the crowd of graphic designs and create a report that truly represents the essence of Etsy. By combining illustrations with photography, Spajich aimed to break away from the traditional form of an annual report.
