A big camphor tree serves as the core of the design, allowing sunlight to spill into the space and create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The ecological farm within the campus provides an opportunity for children to experience the fun of planting and learn about nature. The natural ecological area, with its diverse range of plants, offers different atmospheres throughout the year, providing a dynamic and ever-changing learning environment. Additionally, the activity and sandpit recreation areas encourage exploration and stimulate creativity, allowing children to develop their artistic and imaginative skills.

Technologically, Colorful Palette is a marvel. The architecture features weather-resistant stone paint on the floor and walls, carefully selected to reconcile a variety of colorful appearances. The building structure itself is made of reinforced concrete, ensuring durability and longevity.

With an overall site area of approximately 27,967.35 square meters, the design kindergarten area spans 5000 square meters. This ample space allows for the implementation of various learning zones and facilities, providing a rich and diverse educational experience for the children.

Wei Cheng Lin, the mastermind behind Colorful Palette, has a deep understanding of the needs of the educational environment. As an architect with extensive experience in school building design, Lin has created a space that inspires children's sensory experiences and implements a multi-modal learning model. The spatial configuration includes areas for natural teaching, healthy activities, arts, food safety education, and ecological education, making the campus a hub of diverse functions.

Colorful Palette was completed in August 2020 in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. The design process involved extensive research and consideration of the local climate and surroundings. The architectural team incorporated environmental control and mass design techniques to ensure pleasant breezes and avoid the impact of monsoons. Multiple activity zones were strategically placed to align with theme-based teaching concepts, transforming the outdoors into living textbooks for sustainable green education.

The architects and construction team faced the task of creating irregular streamlined floors and curved walls. Through the use of precise on-site lofting and satellite positioning, they successfully overcame these challenges, resulting in a visually stunning and functional design that delighted both the clients and campus users.

Colorful Palette has received well-deserved recognition for its exceptional design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2021.
