Combining Aesthetics and Function to Create a Timeless Space

The designers of Zhonghai Club have ingeniously integrated the theme of time throughout the entire space. By incorporating art works from different periods, they have created a dialogue between the past, present, and future. The space also features Italian furniture, which adds a touch of elegance and luxury. The attention to detail in the design highlights the noble quality of the space.

The realization of the design involved the use of various materials such as metal, stone, wood, and leather. The combination of these materials creates a sense of understated beauty and elegance. The designers aimed to create a space that exudes a sense of luxuriousness while maintaining a low-key aesthetic.

One of the standout features of Zhonghai Club is the Aurora sculpture, which symbolizes the blooming of time and encourages people to embrace the unknown. With dimensions of 2740 * 429 * 600mm, this sculpture serves as a focal point and sparks the imagination of those who enter the space.

Located in Beijing, the Zhonghai Club project commenced in December 2019 and was completed in September 2020. The designers conducted extensive research on clubhouses, which have become an integral part of real estate projects in China. By incorporating the culture attribute of the region, the Zhonghai Club aims to create an art center that provides a unique and comprehensive perspective in the fast-changing times.

The design of Zhonghai Club presented several challenges, with the creation of the art sculpture being the most difficult. Countless on-site inspections and iterations were carried out to ensure the sculpture met the designers' vision and standards.

The Zhonghai Club design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious award recognizes designs that exhibit creativity, resourcefulness, and technical skill, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
