The Balance with The SpaceInterior Design
For the demands of the host, the impressive parts of detailed design matched with the natural materials can derive an innovative atmosphere and avoid over-designing to spoil the spatial balance for fulfilling the host's requirement of the distinct and personal space. The different spatial needs of the host and hostess can be perfectly combined in this project by the design's witty strategy, all of that can demonstrate a wonderful space in harmony and balance.
This is a residential interior design project mainly for holidays use. The white color set as the spatial backdrop can enlarge the space as bright atmosphere. For the demands of the hostess, the setting of the brown color for the TV wall, the wallpaper with vine branches figure and the bar counter can generate a relaxing feeling to ease the user's emotion.
The floating white ceiling can concisely define the public area of living room. The original heavy beams on the top of the restaurant and the path can be changed as the spatial focuses through the creative decorating strategy. The folded wooden slabs can break the original spatial dimensions and enlarge the vertical visual effects. By different changes of the wooden slabs between the top and the bottom of the beams can re-define the original figure of the beams and revamp the new spatial order.
This space is 120 square meters.
The light getting through the cracks of the concrete covers can derive the profound meaning of life as well. The special corner with the arrangement of the wallpaper with vine branches figure, the wine shelves and the grille wall is the second spatial focus of the restaurant, and can perform as two spatial focuses for this project.
The project finished in May 2017 in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
The image of the vine branches is a natural element to moderate the space. The glass wall on the back area of the sofa and the artifacts shelves with visual permeability can generate different spatial layers to define the original spatial configuration. All of that can not only enlarge the space but also be as the focuses in the space. The dramatic composition of the slabs on the artifact shelves is the correspondence of the vine branches. The different angles and the materials the slabs are the abstract metaphor of nature.
The painting of the little girl with the yellow backdrop is intentionally put on the side of the artifact shelves. The lovely facial expression of the little girl can encourage the host and hostess to endeavor in their children education business, and increase interesting feeling for this space.
