The main design concept behind Beijing Huafa Mall is to create two completely different retail experiences within the same space. The first three levels of the mall boast a contemporary, warm, and stylish atmosphere, while the top three levels feature an indoor ecological and cultural open retail street. This unique approach allows visitors to enjoy a diverse range of retail offerings while immersing themselves in a relaxing and casual environment.
One of the standout features of Beijing Huafa Mall is its alfresco indoor retail street on the top three levels. The boundaries between shops are intentionally blurred, creating a more spacious and open atmosphere. The design aims to evoke a sense of wandering through a flower forest, with natural elements seamlessly integrated into the architectural design and indoor spaces. The use of curved water-inspired shapes and an earthy color palette further enhances the holistic experience.
With a site area of 13,676sqm and a total floor area of 45,811sqm, Beijing Huafa Mall offers a wide range of retail and leisure facilities. The first three levels house a retail shopping arcade, while levels four to six feature a retail street and restaurants, including a 5000sqm dining area with multi-level outdoor dining terraces. The seventh level is a 2,000sqm clubhouse exclusively for members, complete with a gym and swimming pool. The basement levels provide ample parking space and a 4,000sqm supermarket with direct access.
The design of Beijing Huafa Mall prioritizes simple and clear circulation, ensuring easy navigation for visitors. Main entrances are strategically located near road junctions to facilitate easy access. The use of large voids and visual connections entice retail activities, while express escalators and lifts provide convenient vertical transportation. The mall is designed to cater to a diverse range of customers, including the new generation, university students, young families, and mid to high-income individuals.
Beijing Huafa Mall is a testament to the meticulous research and innovative design approach undertaken by Zhuhai Huafa Properties Co., Ltd. and Aedas Asia Limited, the architectural and interior design teams behind this project. The mall's construction is expected to be completed in 2021, with an opening scheduled for 2022.
