Ink Painting: A Neo-Classical Apartment Interior Design by Hsin-Yi Yang

A Unique Blend of Art and Modern Simplicity

This project, designed by Hsin-Yi Yang, is a stunning example of a tailor-made apartment interior design that seamlessly combines neo-classical aesthetics with modern simplicity. The design, aptly named "Ink Painting," creates an open and transparent space with layers, showcasing the designer's expertise in creating a natural and rich spatial contour.

The inspiration behind the Ink Painting design stemmed from the client's love for entertaining. To meet their needs, the boundaries between spaces were intentionally weakened, allowing for seamless integration of different functions. Large floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, while the balcony serves as an outdoor coffee area, extending the indoor space and accommodating a large number of guests.

What sets the Ink Painting design apart is its unique approach to open space. The combination of neo-classical design elements and modern simplicity creates a transparent and layered space. Textured furniture and ornaments, along with the clever use of natural and interior lighting effects, contribute to the creation of a natural and rich spatial contour.

The entrance of the apartment features a marble bar connected to a landscape stone sculpture, evoking the essence of an ink painting. The warm and calm fishbone parquet flooring adds a finishing touch, linking the lines of the facade and stabilizing the overall atmosphere of the space. The pattern of the floor echoes the lines of the carving landscape stone, guiding movement into different areas.

In the bedroom, a modern minimalist approach was employed to create a sense of depth through lighting. Hidden doors add flexibility to the use of space, seamlessly integrating functionality into the design. The technical specifications of the Ink Painting design include a total interior space of 190 square meters, with three rooms, three bathrooms, a dining room, a living room, and a spacious 42-square-meter balcony.

The Ink Painting design is a true testament to the designer's ability to create a harmonious blend of classical luxury and modern fashion. By combining the neo-classical aesthetic with modern lines, Hsin-Yi Yang has crafted a space that exudes elegance and openness. The use of light and shadow, lines, symmetry, and vignetting colors creates a layered ink painting effect throughout the space.

This exceptional design has not gone unnoticed. The Ink Painting design was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2021 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Ink Painting design stands out for its integration of industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and its contribution to a better world.

The Ink Painting design, with its unique blend of art, architecture, and modern simplicity, is a true masterpiece that showcases the talent and creativity of Hsin-Yi Yang. It is a testament to the power of design to transform spaces and create a harmonious and visually stunning environment.
