The Evening Mist Morning Light residence, designed by Jia Ru Chen, is a stunning example of a thoughtful and serene living space. The project was specifically created for the house owner's mother, providing her with a comfortable and peaceful home for her retirement years. The design focuses on incorporating plain and beautiful materials to create a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

One of the unique properties of this design is the expression of the house owner's love for their mother. The shared spaces in the residence were carefully designed to foster a sense of togetherness for the family. The housekeeping is made simple in this spacious and clean-living environment, with minimal building structures and objects that do not cause any disturbance for the mother when cleaning the house.

The interior of the residence features partial structures, with clear glass sliding doors separating the living room and dining room. The use of broad plain storage cabinets in the living room adds to the clean and simple aesthetic, while elegant furniture pieces create a subtle Japanese-inspired style. The attention to detail and choice of materials contribute to the overall serene ambiance of the space.

The master bedroom showcases plain light-color wood cabinets and a concealed dressing room, creating a clean, simple, and warm atmosphere. The bathroom, adorned with dark-grey marbles and stones, exudes a calm ambiance, enhanced by aluminum-framed mirrors that visually expand the indoor space.

The Evening Mist Morning Light project was completed in April 2019 in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The design successfully overcame the challenge of creating a house that maximizes natural light and provides the mother with a pleasant view of the ever-changing evening mist and morning sunlight. The result is a comfortable and relaxing environment that caters to the needs of all family members, especially the women.

This exceptional design was recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. The award acknowledges the well-designed, practical, and innovative nature of the Evening Mist Morning Light residence. It is respected for integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world and providing fulfillment and positive feelings.
