Creating a Timeless and Memorable Brand Identity

The Bergtor Visual Identity, designed by Erika Baczo, draws inspiration from the minimal and clean aesthetic of Swiss design. With a focus on simplicity and a duotone color palette, this visual identity reflects the brand's core values of maturity and solidity. The goal was to create a concept that goes beyond contemporary appearance, resulting in a unique and original brand identity.

The Bergtor brand identity stands out with its emphasis on quality and a solid grid system. The use of minimalistic typography adds to the sleek and modern look. One of the standout features is the incorporation of symbolism through geometric elements in the letters. For instance, the three shapes in place of the letter "E" are inspired by the main lines of a garage door, symbolizing the brand's focus on garage doors and related products.

The visual elements of the Bergtor Visual Identity are produced using high-level digital printing on white, recycling paper. This ensures the quality and durability of the corporate identity elements. The logo and visual system are designed in a vector format, allowing for adaptability to different sizes for both digital and printed media.

The Bergtor Visual Identity is characterized by keywords such as visual identity, modern, simple, timeless, feasibility, and reliability. These qualities are reflected in the choice of the Gotham typeface, which is geometric, simple, modern, and solid.

As part of the brand identity, Bergtor created thank you cards for loyal customers. These cards serve as a means of interaction and reinforcement of long-term collaboration. The graphics on the cards exude quality and feature a playful vibe, contributing to a rich and unique brand system.

The Bergtor Visual Identity project started in November 2019 in Miercurea Ciuc, Romania, and was completed in January 2021. Throughout the design process, the team focused on simplicity and purposefulness, ensuring that the final result effectively communicates the brand's values and message.

Creating the Bergtor Visual Identity posed its challenges, particularly in visually representing garage doors in an appealing way. However, the designers successfully overcame this challenge by incorporating geometric elements and a fresh look into the visual graphics identification. The result is a visually distinctive and captivating brand identity.

The Bergtor Visual Identity showcases the meanings of the chosen word through symbolism and geometric elements. The replacement of the letter "E" with three horizontal lines, reminiscent of a garage door, adds a unique touch to the logo. The overall visual identity is characterized by a dynamic, urban, and geometric pattern, with the icon representing the horizontal garage door in a stylistic manner.

The Bergtor Visual Identity has been recognized for its outstanding design and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021 in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate technical and creative excellence, contributing to improvements in quality of life and making a positive impact on the world.
