Future Ideal City: A Portal to Tomorrow

Haiman Zhang's Award-Winning Design Explores the Intersection of Technology and Simplicity

Step into the future with Haiman Zhang's "Future Ideal City," an experience hall that breaks boundaries and redefines the concept of space. This innovative design, located in Guangzhou City, introduces the concept of "Future Cloud City," creating an immersive, futuristic environment that engages visitors in a dialogue about the potential of tomorrow.

The Future Ideal City Experience Hall is more than just an architectural marvel; it's a conversation between the past and the future, between people and architecture, and between individuals and their residences. It blurs the lines between space and streets, layering textures and experiences to create a comprehensive vision of what the future could hold.

The outer facade of the structure is a blend of mirror surfaces and metals, injecting a sense of tension and futurism into the space. The use of stainless steel mirrors stretches and enlarges the visual sense of the space, creating an immersive experience that guides the visitor's vision through material changes. The lower space employs spheres to add dynamics to the linear space, creating a balance between the serious and the playful.

Inside, disorderly stacked Abs square tubes mimic the form of clouds, serving as display devices that facilitate dialogue within the space. This unique approach embodies the concept of the future city in a special way, creating an environment that encourages visitors to engage with the space and consider their place within it.

The design team, including Zihui Chen and Ying Tang, faced the challenge of creating a design that would attract attention and potential buyers within a limited space. They met this challenge head-on, incorporating the client's brand idea of "Future Cloud City" into the design and using stainless steel mirrors as the main material to reflect a futuristic sense.

The result is a space that encourages reflection, interaction, and exploration. It's a place where visitors can stand and feel the endless reveries of the future, a place where the future is both cool and friendly, and beautiful. This design is not just about looking at the future; it's about touching and feeling it.

The Future Ideal City Experience Hall is a testament to the power of innovative design. It's a space that challenges perceptions and encourages visitors to engage with the future in a tangible way. And with its recent Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021, it's clear that this design is not just a vision of the future, but a significant milestone in the present.
