Vestel EVC 05: Electric Vehicle Charger Interface

Vestel UX and UI Design Group has created an innovative interface design for the Vestel Ultra Fast Electric Vehicle Charger, known as the Vestel EVC 05. This interface aims to provide users with an easy and fast usage experience, making electric vehicle charging more convenient than ever before.

The Vestel EVC 05 is equipped with a modular structure that allows for different charger combinations. To accommodate this modularity, the device interface has been designed to be adaptable. Additionally, the challenge of designing an interface that caters to the diverse profiles of electric vehicle owners has been successfully addressed. The interface is user-friendly and can be easily used by a wide range of users.

One of the standout features of the Vestel EVC 05 is its intuitive interface, which ensures a seamless charging experience. The interface has been specifically designed to make the most of the 10.4-inch wide screen, optimizing the interaction between the user and the display area. With clear illustrations and informative texts, the interface provides all the necessary information to guide users through the charging process and help them take the right actions.

In addition to its user-friendly design, the Vestel EVC 05 interface supports a booking feature for end users. This feature allows users to schedule their charging sessions in advance, adding an extra layer of convenience to their electric vehicle charging experience. The Vestel EVC 05 interface is available on the market and is compatible with Schuko and AC type connectors. Its dimensions measure 211.2 x 158.4mm, ensuring a compact yet functional design.

The design process for the Vestel EVC 05 involved extensive user research and A/B testing conducted by the Vestel UX Group. By understanding the exact needs of users and aligning them with project guidelines, the UX Group was able to create a design that prioritizes user experience. User journey maps were combined with suitable interfaces to ensure a seamless and enjoyable charging experience for Vestel smart device users.

One of the main challenges during the design process was to achieve simplicity and translucency in the interface. Icons and color palettes were carefully chosen to adhere to international standards for charge sockets. Realistic illustrations were used to represent socket placement, enhancing accessibility and ease of use.

The Vestel EVC 05 interface has received recognition for its exceptional design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interface, Interaction, and User Experience Design category in 2021. This award recognizes designs that are well-designed, practical, and innovative, meeting professional and industrial requirements.
