Chunlei Sun's Gream Modern Realm: A Fusion of History and Modernity

Award-Winning Design Interweaves Ancient Culture with Contemporary Aesthetics

Chunlei Sun's Gream Modern Realm Experience Center, a Silver A' Design Award winner, is a testament to the harmonious blend of ancient culture and modern aesthetics. This unique architectural piece, located in Xianyang, China, offers a multi-dimensional space experience, reflecting the city's rich history and modern prosperity.

Chunlei Sun, along with his design team, drew inspiration from the people's yearning for a more concise architecture and a more natural "slow" life. The Experience Center presents a modern and simple architecture, with the "sacred deer" as a guide. It mobilizes all the history, culture, atmosphere, and environment of Xianyang, the "first imperial capital in the world", progressing layer by layer. Space and time, nature and life intersect here, forming a clear but multi-dimensional space experience.

The project's unique properties lie in its location in Xianyang, a prosperous place since ancient times. The precipitation, continuation, and renewal of the millennium cultural heritage is engraved with precious memories of history, and the Times High-tech Zone has been given more city expectations. The project is located in the core area of the newly developed area, using space as the medium to condense the humanities and modern prosperity of the city, and precipitate the demands of life more suitable for the present.

The design realization technology of the project involved Founder's orderly combination of lines, coupled with large-area composite board Symphony series materials, which enhances the visual three-dimensional sense, while colliding with a simple and modern international aesthetic. Appropriate height difference and streamline processing separates traffic from pedestrians and opens the journey of exploration with a non-interference and immersive experience.

The project covers a total of 1251 square meters and started in March 2020 in Xianyang and finished in August 2020. The integrated design of professional element symbols unifies the multi-dimensional perspectives of architecture, landscape, hardcover, and soft decoration, and starts the deer hunting journey in the hardcover starry sky elements, soft furnishing carpet starry sky elements, painted deer story themes and other elements.

In this case, psychological feelings and sensory experiences are poured into the architectural space, interpreting life with a light-luxury and natural tone. Adhering to the design concept of "building is experience", the Experience Center fully considers the psychological senses of the experiencer, and takes "the fate of the deer" as the clue, allowing each space to progress in an orderly manner in the process of exploring, naturally and comfortably outputting the space experience.

The design was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021. The Silver A' Design Award is rewarded to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. These designs, admired for their strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
