Function, ergonomics, and a comfortable feeling of dyed leather and fine sewing craft are always emphasized by the classic furniture brand, de sede. Taking inspiration from this, Keng Fu Lo has designed the space to emphasize the value of RAYTEXT's products, creating a combination of a warm atmosphere and a sense of life.
The design of the showroom focuses on expressing a cold color tone and atmosphere, aiming to enhance customers' visual and tactile experience with the products. The logistic service area is strategically placed in the middle of the showroom, ensuring efficient service circulation.
Continuity is achieved through the use of sharp U-glass, architectural concrete walls, and wood layer flooring with aluminum grille. The design incorporates a stone pavement as a transition element, guiding visitors through the aluminum grille combined with a staircase turret and transparent glass, creating a visually captivating journey through the products. Natural sunlight further enhances the sense of space, creating a harmonious environment.
The realization of the design involved the use of architectural concrete walls to express a cold tone, extending from the first floor to the second floor on the left side. Aluminum grille, spanning two floors, serves as an integration material, covering beams and pillars and creating a cohesive aesthetic. The combination of concrete architecture, wood layer, and round arc titanium iron softens the linear rules and adds a sense of coordination amidst the contrasting elements.
The RAYTEXT Fine Furnishings showroom spans 400 square meters, providing ample space to showcase their exquisite collection.
By using stone pavement as a transition element and extending the stone floor to different heights, the design creates an upward ramp platform that doubles as a staircase turret and a living area. This innovative approach decreases the height of the stair landing and adds functionality to the sampling area, allowing customers to select furniture materials and leather colors.
The floors are connected by cantilevered stairs with transparent glass, providing a sense of independence with every step. The design encourages exploration and engagement with the products, enhancing the overall shopping experience.
The project, which began in April 2014 and concluded in May 2015, showcases the meticulous attention to detail and the dedication to creating a space that truly reflects the essence of RAYTEXT Fine Furnishings. The showroom was officially exhibited in May 2015, captivating visitors with its elegance and sophistication.
Keng Fu Lo's design for RAYTEXT Fine Furnishings has garnered recognition and acclaim. The showroom was awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2016. This accolade is a testament to the exceptional creativity, technical expertise, and innovative approach showcased in the design.
