Star of Tomorrow: A Versatile Office Space Design by Millton Yu

Creating a Flexible and Functional Workspace

The client, who rented a building in the heart of the city to serve as their new corporate headquarters, had specific requirements for the space. In addition to traditional office areas, they also needed entrance halls, dance classrooms, studios, multi-functional exhibition halls, light food cafes, and VIP rest spaces. Millton Yu and their team rose to the challenge and created a design that met all these needs.

One of the key features of Star of Tomorrow is its adaptability. The team left ample white walls and ceilings in the lobby and multi-functional exhibition hall, allowing for future displays and functional adjustments. The original texture cement floor adds a touch of minimalism to the space. Additionally, the meeting rooms and recreational areas can be easily converted for other purposes by simply moving furniture. This design approach ensures that future changes or expansions can be made without the need for extensive renovations.

With a total area of 466 square meters, Star of Tomorrow is a testament to Millton Yu's attention to detail and commitment to creating a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The design incorporates simple lines, low chroma colors, and methodical details, creating an overall elegant and comfortable atmosphere. Upon entering the space, visitors are greeted by cold metal arc walls and lights, instantly immersing them in a fashionable and stylish environment.

The project was completed in June 2020 in Taipei, Taiwan. Throughout the design process, Millton Yu focused on minimizing costs and resource consumption. By selecting materials and construction methods that required minimal reprocessing, they were able to reduce both manpower and resource consumption, resulting in a cost-effective solution. The completed space not only meets environmental standards but also reflects the client's company image and brand style.

Star of Tomorrow has been recognized for its excellence in design, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious award acknowledges the project's outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and contribution to improving the quality of life. Millton Yu's design sets a new benchmark for office spaces, demonstrating the possibilities of creating versatile and functional environments.
