The book's inspiration stems from the powerful impact of ideas and their potential to leave a lasting mark on society. Akchurin's work is a testament to this, as his innovative ideas challenge conventional building methods and offer a sustainable alternative. The book's imposing size and weight mirror the profound responsibility and urgency of addressing global warming.
"Akchurin New York" stands out for its unique properties. It showcases multifaceted engineering solutions, developing a new design vocabulary essential for the future of architecture. The glossy black cover, adorned with hot graphite foil stamping, displays handcrafted artistry by Favini Classy Covers. With only 100 limited edition books personally signed and numbered, it is a collector's item, further enhanced by a custom slipcase or ebony box.
The book is a testament to cutting-edge inventions, designs, and engineering systems that revolutionize how we build and live. It features illustrations, detailed explanations, and technical diagrams that chronicle the next generation of green architecture and self-sufficient building. From design concept to finished property, the building process is efficient, environmentally responsible, and sustainable.
The project, which started in November 2019 and was completed in December 2020 in New York City, USA, involved a highly qualified team from five different countries. The team faced the challenge of collecting, formatting, and processing complex information, including engineering developments, patents, and inventions. Despite these challenges, the team successfully created all the book content, including photos, visualizations, texts, diagrams, and illustrations, from scratch.
The book is not just a collector's item, but also a call to action. It challenges readers to reimagine everything they know about houses, building, and city infrastructure. The step-by-step net-zero building process detailed in the book, coupled with the artistic presentation of nature through pictures, metaphors, and descriptions, inspires everyone to believe in a sustainable world.
The book's unique approach to sustainable architecture has earned it the Golden A' Limited Edition and Custom Design Award in 2021. This prestigious award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that advance art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
