Korobok: A Stylish and Functional Pillbox for Modern Living

Redesigning the Pillbox for Convenience and Style

In our work, designer Igor Dydykin aimed to transform the pillbox from a medical item into a fashionable accessory for travel, sports, and everyday life.

The Korobok, designed by Igor Dydykin, is a unique and innovative take on the traditional pillbox. Unlike conventional pillboxes that often carry a stigma of being awkward to use in public, the Korobok seamlessly blends functionality with style, making it a must-have accessory for health-conscious individuals on the go.

What sets the Korobok apart is its thoughtful design and attention to detail. With a compact size of 58mm in depth, 43mm in width, and 14mm in height, it easily fits into small purses and pockets, ensuring that you always have your essential pills and supplements within reach.

The pillbox features a round shape with a hole on the back, allowing for easy handling and touch-based operation. The flat front side and a notch at the top make it effortless to determine the top and bottom, enabling you to use the pillbox without the need to look at it. This unique design ensures convenience and ease of use, even in low-light situations.

Designed using sketching and 3D modeling techniques, the Korobok is available in a range of colors, allowing you to choose one that suits your personal style. Whether you're traveling, engaging in sports activities, or simply going about your daily routine, the Korobok is a versatile accessory that seamlessly integrates into your lifestyle.

During the research stage of the project, various pillboxes and wearable accessories were analyzed to identify the best design elements. The inspiration for the Korobok came from the timeless shape of a matchbox, which has proven to be both functional and visually appealing. By incorporating this shape into the design, Igor Dydykin was able to create a pillbox that is not only practical but also aesthetically pleasing.

The Korobok project, directed by Igor Dydykin and managed by Ludmila Sapalova, began in March 2021 and was completed in June 2021 in Togliatti. The team's goal was to create a friendly and user-friendly pillbox that is easy to refill and carry, ensuring that individuals can maintain their health and well-being effortlessly.

The Korobok pillbox is a testament to the power of design in transforming everyday objects into functional and stylish accessories. With its unique shape, compact size, and user-friendly features, it is a must-have for anyone seeking a convenient and fashionable way to organize and carry their pills and supplements.
