Year of Tiger 3D Paper Craft Decoration

A Unique and Eco-Friendly Chinese New Year Gift

Inspired by the desire to create a more unique and engaging Chinese New Year decoration, the designers overcame paper construction challenges to bring their vision to life. Collaborating with the eco-friendly printing company Green Production (Overseas) Group, they utilized the technical expertise of MGI Jetvarnish 3Ds iFoil printing to print the product on FSC certified paper using plant-based ink. The result is a stunning and environmentally friendly 3D paper craft decoration.

What sets this design apart from traditional Chinese New Year decorations is its three-dimensional nature. While lucky banners are typically flat and one-dimensional, the Year of Tiger 3D Paper Craft Decoration adds depth and visual interest to any home or office. The whole set can be easily assembled without the need for glue or scissors, making it a fun and engaging activity for both children and adults.

With its modern graphics and intricate details, the decoration features a Tiger head, neck, body, two lucky banner panels, mountains, and decorative flowers. Even the outer package case serves as the base for displaying the entire decoration. Each component is marked with artwork printing effects, adding to the overall visual appeal.

The Year of Tiger 3D Paper Craft Decoration was designed and produced in Hong Kong by DS Glitter Ltd. The project started in November 2021 and was completed in January 2022. The product was sent to existing and potential clients before the Chinese New Year holiday and was also exhibited at the Hong Kong PMQ-Ubu Deco gallery in February.

This design has received recognition for its creativity and ingenuity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2022. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding technical and creative skills, contributing to quality of life improvements and making the world a better place.
