A Unique Logo Design that Sets Transam Carriers Apart

Transam Carriers Inc., a leading transportation and logistics provider based in Toronto, Canada, has recently unveiled a striking new visual identity that captures the essence of their brand. Designed by Maksim Zinchuk of NUMZ Graphics, the logo features a stylized Zubr, or European Bison, symbolizing uniqueness and power.

With the growing competition and truck driver shortage in the trucking industry of North America, Transam Carriers recognized the need to revamp their brand appearance. The company embarked on a journey to expand its marketing efforts and redesign its brand, resulting in the creation of their third logo update in 16 years.

The logo's design is centered around the majestic Zubr, a rare animal found in Eastern Europe. The Bison holds great significance for both Eastern Europeans and Native Americans, symbolizing strength, sacredness, and respect. By incorporating the Zubr into their logo, Transam Carriers aims to convey the spirit of their brand and stand out in the competitive market.

The logo's unique properties lie not only in the choice of symbol but also in the careful selection of colors and fonts. The use of yellow and black as primary colors adds vibrancy and visibility to the brand, while a custom-designed font and a dynamic slanted layout create a modern and eye-catching look.

Transam Carriers' new visual identity extends beyond the logo itself. The style dictated by the logo has been successfully implemented across various platforms, including corporate trucks, the website, social media, stationery, advertising, and promotional products. The incorporation of yellow triangles in the graphics has become a recognizable and distinctive feature among industry professionals.

Maksim Zinchuk, the designer behind this remarkable logo, explains the thought process behind the design: "As a design studio, our obligation was to endow the brand with characteristics that align with the corporate idea and resonate with the people who interact with the brand. We achieved this by utilizing the stylized Zubr symbol, individually designed fonts, colors, and corresponding graphics."

The project, which began in September 2017, was meticulously researched and developed by NUMZ Graphics. The design team analyzed competitors' appearances and color preferences, conducted surveys within the company, and leveraged the expertise of Transam Carriers' professionals to create a unique and impactful logo.

Designing a brand is no small feat, and Maksim Zinchuk acknowledges the challenges faced during the creative process: "Combining all the ideas and requirements into one graphic element that is beautiful, unique, and modern is a significant challenge. After developing three different concepts and undergoing several iterations, we arrived at the final design."

The exceptional design of Transam Carriers' logo has not gone unnoticed. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design in 2022.
