Commerce Poster: A Bite of China2

Highlighting the Broad and Profound Chinese Cuisine

Sha Feng and Feng Mengqi, renowned designers, have created a stunning poster series inspired by the documentary "A Bite of China2" on China CCTV9 TV channel. The posters aim to showcase the rich and diverse flavors of traditional Chinese cuisine, capturing the essence of this culinary heritage.

The unique properties of this design lie in its ability to visually represent the different tastes and characteristics of Chinese cuisine. Each poster combines captivating imagery of traditional dishes with corresponding graphics that highlight the flavors and cultural significance behind them. This approach creates a visually striking representation of the broad and profound Chinese cuisine.

The realization of this design involves the use of digital printing or printing offset techniques. The posters are produced in a standard size of 70cm*100cm, ensuring that the intricate details and vibrant colors are showcased effectively.

These posters serve as a visual feast for both indoor and outdoor settings. Whether displayed on television screens or in public spaces, they engage viewers and pique their curiosity about Chinese cuisine.

The project, which started in April 2013 and concluded in August 2013, was based in Beijing. The designers drew inspiration from the documentary "A Bite of China2," which provided a deep understanding of the country's culinary traditions and regional specialties.

The creation of this design presented various challenges, including the need to accurately represent the diverse range of traditional Chinese dishes and their cultural significance. However, Sha Feng and Feng Mengqi successfully overcame these challenges, resulting in a visually stunning poster series that celebrates the richness of Chinese cuisine.

This Design was awarded Bronze in A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award in 2014.
