Inspired by the symmetrical beauty of Persian gardens, the Hope Garden ring is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Iran. These gardens, divided into quadrants by flowing streams, place emphasis on the central element, a feature masterfully translated into the ring's design. The piece reflects the cyclical nature of life's challenges, echoing the changing seasons with a message of enduring hope and patience.
Distinctive in its conception, the ring stands out with its use of pink mother of pearls, a nod to the Persian symbol of patience and hope. The central gemstone is flanked by emeralds and topazes, while a wooden element at the heart of the ring adds an organic touch. The combination of rose gold and diamond-studded silver clouds envelops the design in an aura of luxury and finesse.
Employing advanced CAD software, such as Matrix and Rhino/VRay, the Hope Garden ring is a product of modern technology meeting traditional craftsmanship. The intricate components, cast in gold and silver, are meticulously assembled to create a harmonious whole. The ring's dimensions, with a width of 26.8 mm and a height of 6.7 mm, ensure a bold yet elegant presence on the wearer's finger.
The ring's design not only showcases aesthetic appeal but also embodies a profound interaction with the wearer. It is produced through direct casting and can be assembled from two separate pieces, reflecting the designer's attention to both beauty and functionality.
Conceived and realized in Tehran between January and April 2020, the Hope Garden ring is the culmination of extensive research into Persian gardens, their historical significance, and their influence on the concept of paradise. Overcoming the challenge of encapsulating a millennia-old culture in a contemporary accessory, the designer has successfully conveyed a spiritual message rooted in the Wabi-sabi philosophy: the transient nature of life's trials.
Recognized for its innovative design and cultural depth, the Hope Garden ring was honored with the Iron A' Jewelry Design Award in 2024. This accolade celebrates the ring's practicality, ingenuity, and its embodiment of professional and industrial standards, contributing to the enrichment of the design world and the well-being of its admirers.
