The Swytch Kit allows anyone to upcycle any bike, turning it into a powerful electric bike for use on all terrains and in any weather.

The Swytch eBike conversion kit, developed by Swytch Technology Ltd, is revolutionizing the way people think about sustainable transport. With a pocket-sized battery and a powerful hub motor, the Swytch Kit enables customers to upcycle their existing bike, making it electric and reducing waste. This innovative solution unlocks extra range and provides convenience for traveling, allowing people to use their bicycle as a primary mode of transport.

What sets the Swytch Kit apart from other electric bike conversion kits is its lightweight design and ease of use. The pocket-sized battery, known as the Power Pack, is similar in size to a large smartphone, making it compact and portable. The Swytch Kit is pedal-assist, meaning it provides power as you pedal. The pedal sensor detects when you are pedaling, and the motor controller draws power from the Power Pack to power the 250W front motor wheel. Installing the Swytch Kit is a simple process of swapping in the front motor wheel, attaching the pedal sensor and the handlebar battery mount, and clipping on the Power Pack. No technical experience is required, making it accessible to everyone.

Not only is the Swytch Kit user-friendly, but it also has a significantly lower environmental impact compared to most complete electric bicycles. A regular bicycle produces over 200kg of CO2 during the manufacturing process, while larger electric bicycles are almost twice as pollutive. In contrast, the Swytch Kit takes just 50kg of CO2 to manufacture, reducing the environmental impact by eight times. By upcycling existing bikes, the Swytch Kit promotes sustainability and reduces waste.

The Swytch Kit offers two Power Packs with different ranges: the Air Power Pack with a range of 15km and the Max Power Pack with a range of 30km. Both Power Packs are lightweight, with the Air weighing as little as 700g and the Max weighing only 1100g. The Air Power Pack can be recharged in around 1 hour, while the Max takes around 2.5 hours. The Power Packs are available in multiple different colorways, allowing users to customize their electric bike.

During the development of the Swytch Kit, the design team conducted extensive user research to ensure a seamless user experience. Through user testing without guidelines, with a partially fitted kit, and with a one-page instruction manual, the design team refined the design to be user-friendly and intuitive. The handlebar battery mount was improved through interaction and mechanism enhancements, ensuring ease of use for customers.
