The office, designed by the team themselves, seamlessly blends physical functions, forms, and structures with intangible spirit and ambiance. It is conceived as an "organism" with boundless potential, offering a free, fluid, and all-encompassing spatial experience.
What sets Leading River Interior Design apart is its focus on creating a workspace that reflects the values and culture of the design studio. The theme of a "Dream Studio" permeates the space, highlighting openness, inclusiveness, adaptability, and sharing. The designers have taken a systematic approach that returns to the essence of life and looks into the future.
The color palette and lighting design infuse sensibility to the digital age, emphasizing accuracy and creating an ideal office space for the designer community. The office is a place where urban professionals spend a significant portion of their day, and Leading River Interior Design recognizes the importance of creating an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and well-being.
The realization of the design is a testament to the team's attention to detail and utilization of the site's conditions. The entrance features a half-enclosed front with matte black sheets, complementing the gentle ivory stone walls in the interior. A backdrop wall divides the space without blocking interaction, and a precisely engraved logo on the wall surface creates a fluid order and dynamic connection.
One of the unique features of Leading River Interior Design is its use of light to create a distinct temperament. Transparent and translucent glass partitions redefine the relationship between the interior and exterior, creating a comfortable spatial proportion through gentle, blurred partitions. As light travels through the glass, it mitigates the sense of closeness created by solid walls and evokes the interaction between people and nature.
The office integrates various functions, including reception, work areas, meeting spaces, coffee breaks, reading corners, and socializing areas. Each unit operates independently but can be easily reconfigured and integrated with others. The open office area follows a geometric matrix, resulting in a minimalist environment that promotes concentration and tranquility while maximizing daylighting.
Leading River Interior Design was completed in Shenzhen, China, between March and July 2022. Throughout the project, the design team faced challenges in coordinating construction steps and managing material transportation. However, their active participation in the construction process and implementation of a creative plan ensured the successful delivery of the project within budget constraints.
The design of Leading River Interior Design reflects the dual perspective of both creator and user. By deconstructing the traditional formula for office space design and considering factors such as construction feasibility, aesthetics, functions, and human-space interaction, the team has created a vivid spatial image through the natural strokes of lines, textures, and light.
Leading River Interior Design has been recognized for its excellence and creativity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2023. This award celebrates designs that authenticate experience and resourcefulness, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. Leading River Interior Design exemplifies these qualities and contributes to improving the quality of life in the workplace.
