Changzhou Prime Mansion: A Blend of Tradition and Modernity

Dejoy International Architects' Award-Winning Design Balances Ideal Home and Reality

Changzhou Prime Mansion, an upscale residential community in Changzhou, China, is a testament to the balance between the ideal home and reality. Designed by Dejoy International Architects, this 230-square-meter model home has been awarded the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2023 for its unique blend of traditional and modern elements.

The design inspiration for the Changzhou Prime Mansion comes from the unique emotional worlds of different residents. The designers believe that everyone has their own vision of an ideal home, and these visions, coupled with the realities of life, eventually create a unique home full of stories. The design of the mansion is a tangible manifestation of this belief.

What sets the Changzhou Prime Mansion apart from other designs is its interesting juxtaposition of traditional and modern elements. The home features steady dark wood finishes, classic glass partitions, and soft light-colored marble. These elements form the visual focus of the home and create an intriguing interplay between the traditional and the simplified, the modern and the classical.

The mansion is realized using grey stone, wood veneer, and metal. The restrained elegance of the home is slowly unfolded from the porch, with the entrances of several bedrooms hidden in the black and white contrasting space. The glass partition screen serves not only as the visual center but also as a guide, leading residents and visitors through the home.

The home's technical specifications further enhance its appeal. The western kitchen island and the dining table are integrated to form the central family salon area together with the sofa in the living room. Two floor-to-ceiling windows provide an excellent view, while the soft and hard decorations echo each other to extend elegance throughout the home.

The south-facing master bedroom suite is comparable to that of a luxury hotel, offering a spacious and private space for relaxation. The edge-cut glass screen, which echoes the highlights of the living room, further shapes the memory elements of the entire home. The independent study room interprets solitude as a process of finding oneself inwardly, expressing a refined and elegant attitude towards life.

Changzhou Prime Mansion is a testament to Dejoy International Architects' ability to create a cozy and fine living style, interpreting the dream home of the elite of the era with restrained elegance. This design, with its unique blend of traditional and modern elements, is indeed a worthy recipient of the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award.
