Bionic: A Unique and Luxurious Residence Designed by Shi-Zhe Luo

Integrating Banquet Socializing and Family Living

In the provision of functional services of metropolitan mansion, there are also elegant and meaningful style aesthetics, as well as a healthy and friendly life attitude. Through the combination and distribution of layout, the social banquet and home life can coexist harmoniously; the delicate texture of marble and wood leather is translated into organic and unique artistic life, which is naturally implanted into family life and social interaction.

The Bionic residence, designed by Shi-Zhe Luo, is a testament to the integration of banquet socializing and family living. The designer has arranged a fashion long bar with a width of 10 meters, shaping a grand layout that spans across the living room and banquet space. This elastic and independent space field allows the mansion to meet the demand for private dinners for up to 30 people while improving the efficiency of the moving line.

In terms of style aesthetics, the Bionic residence adopts a meaningful and natural design concept. Environment-friendly materials are carefully selected and combined with the spirit of art bionic, resulting in the sublimation of the natural charm of marble and veneer. This contrasts beautifully with the bright and prosperous urban landscape, transforming the mansion into a vibrant taste of modern luxury.

Spanning 310 square meters, the Bionic residence offers a spacious and inviting environment. The design concept revolves around the family's living and social banquet functions, with the 10-meter-long bar across the open field integrating the functions of a bar, dining table, and light meal preparation area. The living room, dining room, and bar are strategically connected, preserving the flexibility of the space to respond to different activities flexibly and in stages. The private area is thoughtfully arranged at the bottom of the moving line, equipped with independent bathroom, dressing, storage, and other functions, providing optimal privacy and a scenic view.

The Bionic residence was completed in 2022 in Taichung, Taiwan. The design process involved extensive research to achieve the optimal life and social moving line. The concept of a triangular moving line was introduced in the public area, with the open bar as the functional core and the living room and dining room as the two extension ends. This design allows for flexibility, enabling the space to be divided and combined in stages. The entrance to the private area is divided by an art end wall, and the bathroom is strategically placed in a well-lit area, ensuring ample sleep privacy and creating a bright and comfortable bathing atmosphere.

The Bionic residence presented unique challenges in implementing the core design principles of environmental protection and health. The designer successfully integrated the use of environmentally friendly building materials, reducing the consumption of natural resources, while still showcasing the art culture and luxurious mansion taste that defines this project.

Distinguished by its materials, colors, and open layout, the Bionic residence embodies an aesthetic interaction around the city, life, nature, and art. The design retains two bedrooms from the original house condition, and the triangular moving line concept of the kitchen design is expanded to the public area configuration. The 10-meter-long bar serves as the functional axis, extending outwards to the end points of the living room and dining room, creating a balanced interaction between social contact and daily life.

The exceptional design of the Bionic residence has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2023. This prestigious award is bestowed upon outstanding and creatively ingenious designs that authenticate experience and resourcefulness. The Bionic residence exhibits strong technical and creative skills, contributing to quality of life improvements and making the world a better place.
