Aroma Gourmet: A Revolution in Filter Coffee Machines

Designed by Meltem Cetinkaya, Aroma Gourmet is a multi-functional coffee machine that offers a unique coffee experience.

The Aroma Gourmet is not just another coffee machine. It's a device that lets users create their own coffee experience. The machine is designed to be aesthetic, practical, and functional, allowing users to make coffee according to their taste. As the coffee brews, a delightful aroma fills the environment, engaging the user's senses and enhancing the overall coffee-making experience.

Constructed with a main shell of glossy and matte plastic (pp-abs), a hot stamp decor piece, and a glass pot, the Aroma Gourmet is as stylish as it is functional. It measures 154mm/ 330mm/ 298mm and weighs 2 kg with the glass pot. The machine operates on 220-240 V 50/60 Hz and features a timer switch that automatically shuts down after 40 minutes to prevent energy wastage. The water tank is detachable for easy cleaning, and the wire filter eliminates the need for paper filters.

The Aroma Gourmet is user-friendly. To operate, the user fills the water tank, pours coffee into the special filter of the coffee tank, and adjusts the aroma adjustment bar according to their taste. After pressing the start button, the machine begins brewing. Users can also warm their cup on top of the brew chamber. The machine also comes with an apparatus for manual brewing when there's no electricity, making it a versatile choice for coffee lovers.

Designed in Istanbul, Turkey, the development process for the Aroma Gourmet took about 18 months. The design team, consisting of Meltem Çetinkaya and Emre Şahin, conducted extensive market research and examined user experiences. They also collaborated with baristas to study the drip brewing method, filter micron diameters, water temperature, and pot and cup temperature to ensure the best coffee experience.

The Aroma Gourmet has been recognized for its innovative design and functionality, winning the Silver A' Home Appliances Design Award in 2023. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, and the Aroma Gourmet certainly fits the bill. With its unique features and user-friendly design, the Aroma Gourmet is set to revolutionize the way we enjoy filter coffee.
