Dheeraj Belgaonkar's vision was to encapsulate the fluidity and elegance of arcs, drawing inspiration from the harmonious forms of nature, such as the lotus. The chair's design process was rooted in extensive research, including user data analysis and iterative design methods like sketching and 3D modeling, to ensure the final product was both aesthetically pleasing and comfortable.

With dimensions of 550 mm x 550 mm x 730 mm and a seating height of 445 mm, the Arc Chair is designed to cater to a wide range of users. Its assembly is straightforward, with two main halves that bolt together easily, allowing for the addition of a backrest and armrests as needed. This design not only reflects the chair's aesthetic but also its functionality and user-friendly nature.

The Arc Chair's journey from a student project at the National Institute of Design Ahmedabad to an award-winning masterpiece spanned just a few months in 2023.
