Introduction

SungHoon Chung, a passionate basketball fan and designer, has created a unique logo for a basketball museum. Inspired by his love for the sport and the NBA, Chung aimed to capture the historical essence of basketball in his design.

Chung's goal was to create a logo that would evoke a sense of history and pay tribute to the famous players who have left their mark on the sport. He drew inspiration from the iconic handprints found on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, using handprints as a symbol of the connection between basketball and its legendary players.

Designing the logo using Illustrator and Photoshop, Chung carefully crafted the handprint to convey a sense of timelessness and significance. The use of these design tools allowed him to create a visually striking logo that would resonate with basketball enthusiasts.

Chung's logo does not have specific dimensions since it is intended for branding purposes. Its versatility allows it to be used across various platforms, from digital media to merchandise.

The project commenced in January 2010 in New York and was completed in May 2010. Originally a school project, the logo was exhibited at the school, showcasing Chung's talent and creativity.

Chung's design received recognition for its excellence and innovation, winning the Iron A' Design Award in 2012. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate exceptional practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial standards.
