Light Game: A Simple, Fun, and Ecological Lamp

Transforming Childhood Memories into Illumination

Memories, fun, and games are the strong points of "Light Game." This lamp is a tribute to a toy that children used to make with a piece of paper, a game that may have been forgotten by many. Luca Matta wanted to bring back this wonderful game and turn it into an "easy" lamp, or rather a lamp that is simple, useful, affordable, and environmentally friendly.

The diffuser of the Light Game lamp is made from press-formed lignin paper, which is folded to create a unique shape. The diffuser includes inserts that house LED lights, which are placed in the lower part of the lamp. This design allows for a soft and diffused light to emanate from the lamp, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Light Game is a modular lamp, as each section can be opened to reveal a message written inside, after choosing the desired drawing. There are four types of lamps available: suspension, table, floor, and bedside. This modular design adds an element of interactivity and personalization to the lamp, allowing users to create their own unique lighting experience.

It is important to note that the Light Game lamp concept has been developed in this project, but the technical aspects of the lamp would need further refinement and development.

This design has been recognized for its creativity and ingenuity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category in 2012. The A' Design Award is bestowed upon outstanding designs that demonstrate technical and creative excellence, contributing to improvements in quality of life and making the world a better place.
