The Maestro: A Ring Inspired by Music

A Tribute to Music and its Greatest Fans

The inspiration for the "Maestro" ring came from the idea of the interchangeable records in a gramophone. The different records represent the collection and curation of a music library. A music lover can get so many different musical experiences from just one player. Leon Megé took this idea and translated it into his jewelry. Like the gramophone, this one special ring represents a multitude of jewelry options—it's a set of jewelry in one ring. He designed the "Maestro" ring for the person who wants to wear their musical taste on their sleeve, it's a tribute to music and its greatest fans.

This one-of-a-kind ring was inspired by the gramophone, the origin of recorded music. The "Maestro" ring is a definite statement piece. And because it's a statement piece, Leon Megé has designed the ring so that the wearer can decide just what statement they choose to make. The ring features black ebony wood disks designed to look like records to be played on the gramophone.

Music is a curation process, picked and individualized by the listener to their customized tastes. The special and unique ring designed by Leon Megé takes this concept and extends it to your jewelry. It resembles an old-fashioned gramophone with the blackened silver trumpet making up the body of the ring. On the top, an 18-carat gold stud holds the records in place. Because music is an art that is individualized, Leon has made this ring in the same manner.

The tiny records that accompany the ring are made from sustainable black ebony wood. Each record individually reflects a different musical artist. In an AC/DC frame of mind? "Play" it on The "Maestro" ring. What's better? Because the records are interchangeable, they can be customized to fit your personal tastes. The design of each record is made from tiny, colorful gemstones.

Leon created a specialized stand so that when The "Maestro" ring is not being worn, it can be displayed like an art piece. A platform made of silver will accompany the ring to complete the gramophone design. When standing on its own, the ring and platform will look like a miniature statue.

The "Maestro" ring is a true testament to the craftsmanship and creativity of Leon Megé. Hand-assembled and hand-forged, this ring is a labor of love. It is made from sterling silver, 18-carat yellow gold, black ebony wood, black diamonds, white diamonds, white Carrara marble, and various gemstones. With dimensions of 37mm x 40mm x 42mm, this ring is a bold and striking piece of wearable art.

The Maestro ring took approximately one year to complete and was crafted by Leon Megé himself. Its unique design and exceptional craftsmanship have garnered recognition in the industry. In 2013, the "Maestro" ring was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category. This prestigious award is bestowed upon outstanding and creatively ingenious designs that authenticate experience and resourcefulness. The "Maestro" ring exhibits strong technical and creative skills and contributes to quality of life improvements, making the world a better place.
