The bench is made using advanced material technology and NURSS parametric design programs. Its structure is constructed from extruded aluminum, while the main hull is made of 7mm fiberglass in a vibrant lollipop pink color. The transparent hull provides protection from direct sunlight for pets or animals seeking shelter inside.

S-Clutch bench is designed to promote interaction and relaxation. It offers multiple usage options for humans and animals, encouraging friendly attitudes and a relaxed way of living. Pet animals can rest inside the bench or be strapped around the anchor, while their owners can sit, lie back, or engage in discussions with others. Users can also park their bicycles, making it a versatile and ergonomic piece of street furniture.

This design project was initiated in 2011 as part of a research endeavor to make city life more humane and sustainable. The bench was created following extensive research in public benches and street furniture, with a focus on the importance of interaction and action between humans, animals, mobility, and space.

S-Clutch bench was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2013 in the Street and City Furniture Design category.
