Storience's Award-Winning Corporate Brand Identity for Avenor College

In the realm of education, the brand identity of an institution plays a crucial role in shaping its perception among students, parents, and teachers. This article delves into the unique brand identity of Avenor College, crafted by the design team at Storience, and how it has positioned the institution as a future-maker in the field of education.

Education and teaching are not just professions, but passions that drive the team at Storience. The opportunity to work with a client team as passionate and focused as theirs was a strong motivator and source of inspiration for the design team. The project, which spanned from April to September 2013, was a journey of transforming Little London School into Avenor College, a future-maker in the field of education.

The challenge was to create a brand name and visual identity that would appeal to all stakeholders: students, parents, and teachers. The new name, Avenor, is a fusion of 'avenue' and 'avenir', the French word for future, symbolizing a road maker or a future maker. The brightly colored stripes of the Avenor star represent the school community, each with their unique individualities, yet sharing a common focus and goal.

However, the journey was not without its challenges. The three key audiences had starkly different tastes and interests. It was a creative challenge to design something that would appeal to kids, their parents, and their teachers alike. But the team at Storience, comprising Adriana Liute, Stefan Liute, Maria Dumitriu, Andrei Robu, Alexandru Gugurel, Doru Sana, and Stefan Gugurel, rose to the occasion.

The result was a new visual identity that was launched at the beginning of the new academic year in September 2013. The star-shaped logo, made up of brightly colored stripes, represents the school community, each stripe symbolizing a different individuality, yet all converging towards a shared focus and goal.

The design was not just a hit among the stakeholders, but also in the design world. It was awarded the Golden A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award in 2014. This prestigious award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.

In conclusion, the brand identity of Avenor College, crafted by Storience, is a testament to the power of design in shaping perceptions and creating a strong brand identity.
