The logo design was inspired by the concept of a shield, symbolizing security and protection, core values of the Gensyn Intellectual Property brand. Gu Jin's design seeks to express individuality through an asymmetric form, using positive and negative shapes and blank space. This approach not only adheres to traditional aesthetics but also introduces an innovative interpretation of the concept of consulting service, effectively communicating the brand's mission.
What sets this logo apart is its evolution from the initial letter "G" of the enterprise's English name "Gensyn". It consists of left and right abstract single quotation marks, signifying smooth communication and consultation between the enterprise and its customers. The overall form, resembling a shield, highlights the industry's focus on intellectual property protection.
The logo is shaped by the outline of a traditional Chinese seal, and the use of blue color symbolizes the vision of steady development. This design was completed in one month in Beijing, China, following extensive research into the company's background, industry nature, main business scope, and company culture.
One of the challenges faced during the design process was the client's desire to express a multitude of content. However, Gu Jin managed to persuade the client to primarily use the abstract shield to express the protection attribute of their brand intellectual property, ensuring that the key message was not lost amidst excessive information.
The Gensyn Intellectual Property logo design was awarded Silver in A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award in 2023. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation. The award is a testament to Gu Jin's exceptional technical and artistic skills, and his ability to evoke positive feelings, amazement, and wonder through his design.
