The Aloft corporate identity design, created by Michal Markiewicz, stands out with its unique approach to representing the company's essence. The design is centered around the concept of in-air movement dynamics and rotational motion, drawing inspiration from the construction of a quadcopter. The symbol, consisting of nine letters and four "X"s representing the rotors, is arranged on a precisely fixed grid, resulting in a simplified and easy-to-remember symbol.
What sets Aloft apart is the introduction of additional graphic elements that complement the symbol. This allows for easy differentiation without compromising recognition. The design also includes a group of icons and animations that further enhance the identification system.
The main challenge faced during the design process was to reflect the unique features of the company's activities in a way that was not overly specific. By focusing on the dynamics of aerial movement and rotational motion, the design successfully captures the essence of the brand without being too literal.
The Aloft corporate identity design was created in Gliwice, Poland, between September and November 2015. Its innovative approach and visually striking execution have earned it recognition in the design community. In 2016, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and technical skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
