The Antonio Bernardo - Leblon jewelry store in Rio de Janeiro is a unique and inviting space that perfectly reflects the simple yet sophisticated lifestyle of its owner. Designed by Dado Castello Branco, the store aims to make clients feel at ease while showcasing the exquisite jewelry creations of Antonio Bernardo.
The design of the store is a harmonious blend of coziness and sophistication. The use of light-toned washed Brazilian walnut in slatted panels, Corten steel, and cementitious floors creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior decoration features linen, leather, shelves with books, and artwork, breaking free from the rigidity often associated with commercial spaces.
One of the key features of the store is its openness to the shopping mall area. The absence of barriers allows people to easily walk in and view the jeweler's masterpieces. However, there is also a VIP room for customers interested in more exclusive and expensive jewelry pieces.
The store measures 3.05m by 3.10m, with a total area of 9.45m². It took approximately three months to build this store in Rio de Janeiro in 2009.
Dado Castello Branco faced the challenge of maintaining the unique style of Antonio Bernardo's stores while immersing this architecture in the middle of a shopping mall. The result is a store that stands out from the crowd, offering a refreshing and unconventional shopping experience.
This outstanding design was recognized with the Silver A' Design Award in 2014. The award highlights the exceptional creativity, technical expertise, and innovation demonstrated in the store's architecture and interior design. It showcases a remarkable level of excellence and introduces positive feelings, amazement, and wonder to all who visit.
