Reading ancient texts can be challenging for ordinary people in today's fast-paced world. Recognizing this, the team behind Heavenly Creation transformed the traditional text-based content into an illustrated, animated, and interactive app. By designing attractive visual images and characters, they capture the user's attention and create an immersive experience. The app also features interactive functions that allow users to explore and learn information as they play, making the learning process enjoyable and interactive.
The realization of Heavenly Creation involved a meticulous process. The team first sketched out the structure of the book and the interactive functions they wanted to incorporate. They then painted detailed background images and characters, bringing the story to life visually. The development process included creating the program environment, testing the app for bugs, and making necessary modifications to ensure a seamless user experience.
Heavenly Creation was specifically developed for the Android system, with minimum requirements for mobile devices including a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, a CPU of 1.2GHz or higher, Android 4.1 or higher, and 1GB RAM or higher.
The interactive features of Heavenly Creation are intuitive and user-friendly. Users can start by pressing the book on the start page to access the first chapter. To navigate through chapters, a simple swipe from right to left is all that's needed. Each chapter offers unique interactive elements, such as a magnifier for closer examination of text, tapping characters to trigger animations, controlling the flow speed of water conservancy chapters by tilting the phone, and even a 3D waving machine in the waving chapter. The left bottom buttons provide access to text content, chapters, and the main page.
The development of Heavenly Creation was not without its challenges. Combining art, design, and technology proved to be a complex task. Additionally, adapting the E-book to different screen resolutions and operating systems posed its own difficulties. The team's greatest challenge, however, was transforming the intricate and difficult reading content into visually appealing designs and an engaging interactive experience.
Heavenly Creation was launched in December 2013 at the Samsung Store in China, following a project duration from October to December of the same year. The project received the Iron A' Design Award in 2015, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach. This award highlights Heavenly Creation's ability to meet professional and industrial requirements while providing a fulfilling and positive experience for users.
Heavenly Creation is a testament to the power of design and technology in making ancient texts accessible and engaging for modern audiences. By combining visual elements, animations, and interactive functions, Hao He and his team have created an E-book experience that brings the ancient book to life, providing a fun and meaningful learning experience for all.
