Moonlight Bracelet: A Perfect Harmony of Metal and Glass

Constructed from brass plated in 18k gold, mineral glass, and stainless steel, the Moonlight Bracelet is a testament to the designer's attention to detail and commitment to quality. The combination of these materials creates a beautiful contrast that is both elegant and modern.

One of the key challenges in creating this bracelet was designing the mechanism for its clasp. Through 3D printing technology, Jung was able to transcend limitations and materialize the shapes he envisioned. However, he soon realized that creating a mechanism for bracelets was a complex task. Even a small error of 0.3mm could ruin the entire design. With meticulous calculations and a wealth of experience, Jung was able to overcome this challenge and create a functional and secure clasp.

The Moonlight Bracelet is designed to be worn simply on either wrist with the original clasp. Its sleek and minimalist design makes it suitable for both casual and formal occasions, adding a touch of elegance to any outfit.

Jimin Jung completed this project in November 2014 in Philadelphia. His goal was to achieve harmony between two different materials - brass and glass - and create pieces that exist between the definitions of fine and fashion jewelry. By using more commonplace materials and focusing on design and harmony, Jung has created a collection of jewelry that is both unique and accessible.

The Moonlight Bracelet was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category in 2015. This prestigious award recognizes the outstanding expertise and innovation demonstrated by the design. With its strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, the Moonlight Bracelet is a true testament to Jung's talent and creativity.
