The Olive Tree is a unique and award-winning packaging design created by Sumi Creative Co. Inspired by the refined elegance of the Delaire Graff Estate in Stellenbosch, South Africa, this design captures the essence of luxury and sophistication. With its clean lines and minimalist aesthetic, The Olive Tree stands out in a world saturated with conventional packaging designs.

Designed specifically for Laurence Graff, the owner of the Delaire Graff Estate, The Olive Tree needed to represent an upmarket product that matched Graff's impeccable standards. The bottle itself is a work of art, almost resembling an olive tree in the distance when filled with the golden olive oil. It is a testament to the designer's commitment to bringing nature closer to the final product.

Utilizing silk screen printing on glass, The Olive Tree successfully recreates the image of an olive tree, thanks to the expertise of SaverGlass in Feuquieres, France. This innovative technique adds a touch of elegance to the packaging, making it a true standout in the market.

With dimensions of 330mm in height, 55mm in width, and 55mm in depth, The Olive Tree is a visually striking and functional piece of design. The cork top adds an extra element of sophistication, inviting users to engage with the product in a tactile way.

The design process for The Olive Tree began in March 2011 and was finalized in October 2011. During this time, the designers spent valuable time with Laurence Graff, understanding his vision and the importance of creating a product that reflected his high standards. Extensive research was also conducted, including visits to olive oil producers in South Africa and online exploration of the industry.

Awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2015, The Olive Tree is a testament to the exceptional creativity and innovation of Sumi Creative Co. This award recognizes the design's outstanding expertise, technical characteristics, and artistic skill. The Olive Tree evokes positive emotions, amazement, and wonder, making it a truly remarkable piece of design.
