Brickle C: Small Building Blocks for Big Imaginations

A Minimalistic and Aesthetic Toy for Creative Play

Our passion is to encourage healthy development through shared learning and play between children and parents. In our opinion, a good toy should bring joy and happiness and above all be fun to play with. We have a high aesthetic demand for the environment in which a child is playing and learning. In a quiet and pleasant environment, a child can develop and pursue their dreams and ideas. In times of complete sensory overload, we from Kuch Design offer minimalistic, aesthetic, and highly sophisticated play elements that create an agreeable environment. Through an aesthetic combination of shape, color, and smell, we create an overall natural experience.

Brickle C is a set of very small cork-colored building blocks designed by Kuch Design. These blocks are not only visually appealing but also highly functional. Their small size allows them to be easily stowed in a handbag, making them perfect for on-the-go play. They have become a favorite among managers in office meetings and mothers enjoying a cafe outing with their children.

What sets Brickle C apart from other building block sets is its use of compressed granulated cork, which provides a unique tactile experience. The blocks are made from compressed cork, ensuring their durability and longevity. The cork used is of food quality and is sustainably harvested, making it an eco-friendly choice.

The whole toy measures 12x12x12 cm, with the largest cork block measuring 3x3x9 cm. There are also blocks measuring 3x3x6 cm and the smallest blocks measuring 3x3x3 cm. When stacked together, they form a cube. The blocks are designed to be silent and light, making them safe for play in various settings. Even if a construction topples over, there is no danger of breaking glasses or creating noise on the table.

Brickle C's versatility and aesthetic appeal make it ideal for use in cafes, restaurants, offices, and waiting lounges. The felt box in which the cork building blocks are stored adds to the overall aesthetic and looks pleasing in any environment.

Extensive research and testing have been conducted to ensure the safety of Brickle C. The cork used in the blocks is tested in accordance with the EU Toy regulation EN71 and the US Regulation ASTM, meeting all requirements for toy safety. The material is free of toxins, phthalates, aromas, and heavy metals. The KORXX colors used in the blocks are specially developed to meet the highest safety standards in the industry and are ultra anti-allergenic.

The cork used in Brickle C is harvested in accordance with sustainability forest regulations, ensuring that the production process is environmentally friendly. Cork oak trees can be harvested for generations, absorbing massive amounts of CO2 and contributing to climate stability. Every piece of cork is used throughout its lifecycle, making it a natural and sustainable material.

Designing Brickle C presented its own set of challenges. Ensuring the safety of the toy was of utmost importance, leading to the development of a cork material that is free of detectable toxins. Additionally, understanding the specific characteristics of the cork material, such as its weight, surface structure, and density, was crucial in creating a stable and durable toy.

Brickle C is not just a toy; it is a tool for imaginative play and creative exploration. With these small building blocks, children can bring their ideas to life and develop their problem-solving skills. The minimalistic design and aesthetic appeal make Brickle C a favorite among both children and adults.

Brickle C was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Toys, Games, and Hobby Products Design category in 2015. This prestigious award recognizes the outstanding expertise and innovation demonstrated by the design. Brickle C's strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill make it a remarkable and excellent toy that brings joy and wonder to children and adults alike.
