Moscow State Symphony Orchestra: A Symphony of Design

Creating a Visual Symphony for the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra

The Moscow State Symphony Orchestra has unveiled a stunning new corporate identity designed by the renowned brand, 12 points. Inspired by the orchestra's captivating performances, the design captures the essence of music in a visually striking and unique way.

The main visual theme of the brand graphics is a fabric of music, which is inspired by the orchestra's performances during concerts. Just like music that changes and transforms, the design features a flowing ribbon that sways and glitters in the dark. This ribbon represents the artistic performance of the orchestra and is made up of music notes and a conductor's stick.

One of the standout features of the design is the logo, which incorporates a horn and a violin. These symbols represent the brass and strings sections of the orchestra, highlighting the unity and harmony of the ensemble. The ribbon, with the orchestra's name elegantly displayed on it, takes on various forms throughout the design, resembling musical instruments such as violins, harps, and horns. This dynamic element reflects the ever-evolving nature of music during a concert.

The design has been realized using advanced 3D technology, allowing for easy scalability to different sizes and formats. To enhance the visual impact, a glossy varnish and gold foil stamping have been used, creating a luxurious and captivating effect. The design is versatile and adaptable, making it suitable for a range of applications including stationery, invitations, program brochures, posters, and bags.

The Moscow State Symphony Orchestra's new corporate identity is a testament to the creative and technical challenges overcome by the design team. Balancing the need for a classic and elegant aesthetic with the desire to create a visually stunning and modern design was no easy feat. However, the result is a design that perfectly captures the essence of the orchestra and its performances.

The project, which began in 2009, was completed in 2015, with the final implementation of the design. The Moscow State Symphony Orchestra's new corporate identity has received widespread acclaim and recognition, including the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2016. This award is a testament to the outstanding expertise, innovation, and artistic skill showcased in the design.

The Moscow State Symphony Orchestra's new corporate identity is a visual symphony that harmoniously combines the elements of music and design. It is a testament to the orchestra's commitment to excellence and its dedication to creating unforgettable musical experiences.
