The designers drew inspiration from Chinese ancient poetry, where the word "Cang" symbolizes "collection" and "ensconce." By incorporating elements such as bamboo, plum blossoms, and water waves, the logo design exudes a soft and veiled eastern beauty, reflecting the idea of Zen.
What sets this logo design apart is its ability to convey the luxurious, fancy, and comfortable aspects of the theme inn. The designers aimed to highlight the characteristic of "tranquility in the noise" and "a retreat away from the world." The "Cang" series brings a sense of eastern romantic classicism, creating a visual fashion that resonates with the concept of Zen.
The logo design was realized using graphic design software, with physical production techniques such as four-color screen printing and embroidery. The specifications of the logo include a minimum size of 17mm wide and 10mm high, suitable for small objects like cards and matchboxes. For larger applications, such as walls or other large surfaces, the logo can be scaled up to 1.7m wide and 1m high or larger.
The project, which began in April 2016 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China, was completed in November 2016. The design team, consisting of Ming Mao and Dabin Yao, overcame challenges in extracting Oriental graphic elements to create a logo that truly represents the theme inn's unique ambiance.
This exceptional logo design has been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2017. This prestigious accolade is awarded to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The "Cang" logo design stands out for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings to guests, contributing to a better world.
