The design of Jingang City stands out with its structures that resemble mountains and valleys. This unique approach creates a poetic and visually striking environment that captures the attention of visitors. The designers advocate for a poetic plain nature, combining elements of impressionism, a form between realism and abstraction. This approach allows people to feel, experience, and appreciate the space in its entirety, evoking a familiar psychological effect.
The impressionism in the design is neither too simple nor too complicated, generating subtle and natural forms. It embodies momentary inspiration and the passion of life, bringing the space closer to nature. The designers have successfully created a space that not only surprises but also provides a sense of connection with the surroundings.
With a total area of 1100 square meters, the Jingang City sales center is a testament to the designers' creative vision and technical expertise. The realization of this design involved presenting the commercial exhibition space in a poetically hierarchical manner. The result is a space that offers visitors a sense of discovery and happiness.
The design team, consisting of Huawu He and Shangwei Yang, worked on the project from October 2014 to May 2015 in Changle, Fujian. Throughout the design process, they faced challenges such as ensuring the architectural elements matched the client's conception while staying within the cost budget. To overcome these challenges, the designers opted for mountain-like buildings to express the architectural elements in a poetic way. They also used cost-effective cement for the decoration, reducing costs while maintaining consistency with the client's vision.
Jingang City serves as a communication space for showcasing experiences. The building's peaks crossing and overlapping each other create a strong graphic sense, both on the exterior and interior. Behind the fantastic facade, visitors are greeted with a sculptural structure, rich space, and captivating play of light and shadow. The design aims to provide a unique and dynamic experience that combines functionality and aesthetics.
This exceptional design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2016. The award acknowledges the outstanding and creatively ingenious nature of the design, showcasing its experience and resourcefulness. The Jingang City design exemplifies the incorporation of best practices in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to improvements in quality of life and making the world a better place.
