TEKIO's unique approach to cultural engagement in the IT Department sets it apart from other strategies. By defining the department's identity based on their Balance Score Card, TEKIO synthesized five desired attitudes into visual icons that formed a transformation formula. This formula represented the DNA of the department's identity and served as a visual code for the desired cultural behavior.
The transformation formula was not just a visual representation but also a catalyst for change. TEKIO translated the identity codes into observable behaviors that would help shift the interpretation of success, leadership assessment, work dynamics, and space within the department. This new internal culture aimed to create a positive and efficient work environment.
To ensure the successful implementation of the transformation formula, TEKIO developed a program to train key colleagues as change agents. These change agents represented the principles of the new culture and were responsible for spreading it throughout the organization. By empowering these individuals, TEKIO created a network of influencers who would drive the cultural change.
In addition to the training program, TEKIO created a communications campaign system to support the attitude identification, culture design, and change agent formation stages of the process. This system aimed to bring the new culture closer to people's everyday lives and reinforce the desired behaviors and attitudes.
The implementation of TEKIO's strategy involved three stages: understanding the current conventional culture, benchmarking, and co-creative sessions with representatives from different sectors and hierarchy levels of the department. The strategy was launched in October 2014 and received great success, with the organizational climate survey indicating a significant increase of 9 percentage points.
TEKIO's transformation formula for cultural engagement in the IT Department showcases their expertise and innovation in designing organizational change. By redefining the department's identity, designing the culture, training change agents, and creating a communications campaign system, TEKIO has successfully shaped a new cultural behavior that fosters teamwork, efficient processes, and a positive work environment.
TEKIO's approach to cultural engagement in the IT Department has been recognized with the prestigious A' Design Award. This design was awarded Silver in the A' Meta, Strategic, and Service Design category in 2016. The award highlights TEKIO's outstanding expertise, innovation, and excellence in creating designs that inspire positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
