New Consumption Pattern

The Descry Taiwan Exhibition, designed by I'der Branding Design, is a unique showcase that combines art with the Taiwanese traditional tea industry. Located at Mountain Alishan, a famous tourist attraction in Taiwan, this exhibition aims to create a new consumption pattern and promote Taiwanese tea.

The exhibition features a cross-section cooperation that brings out a new business model. Each package on display showcases different expressions conveying the same theme - "Taiwan." By immersing themselves in the beautiful scenery of Taiwan, visitors can have a deeper understanding of Taiwanese tea culture and industry.

The exhibition utilizes various techniques of expression to present the beauty of Taiwan. Gift boxes made with art paper, giclee print on acid-free paper, image transfer techniques on aluminum tea buckets, circuit board art of artistic image, cyanotype, and laser engraving are just some of the methods used to showcase the diverse materials and printing techniques.

The Descry Taiwan Exhibition was a collaborative effort by a talented team. Led by Creative Director Yi-Jen Tu, the team included Project Manager Hsiang-Yi Ho, Producers Pang-Soong Lin and Zen-Jing Wu, Design Guidance by Yu-Hsiang Ni and Meng-Han Liu, and Designers Pei-Jung Chung, Yi-Chin Chung, Chiao-Wei Yang, and Yu-Chan Lin. Space Designer Tzu-Hao Kuo also contributed to the project.

The design concept for the exhibition was developed in early 2017 and was completed on December 24th, 2017. The exhibition was held at the Alpine Botanical Garden in Alishan National Forest Recreation Area until January 15th, 2019.

One of the challenges faced during the design process was presenting delicate illustrations using interesting processes on different textures. For example, the team used image transfer techniques to print several images of Taiwan on aluminum tea buckets, creating a unique visual experience for visitors.

The Descry Taiwan Exhibition was recognized for its outstanding design and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Meta, Strategic, and Service Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate resourcefulness, technical and creative skills, and contribute to quality of life improvements.
