The Rock Hidden - Build Core design by Tang, chung-han is a unique and innovative postpartum center that aims to provide easy, simple, and unified medical services. Inspired by the concept of a pelican, the design incorporates a radiated structure that creates a moving line of medical services, making it efficient and convenient for both patients and staff.
The design also draws inspiration from the nuclear concept applied to a nursery, symbolizing the nutrition supplied to an embryo. The integrated vertical moving lines and well-arranged private routes address the issues of mobility and agility, ensuring smooth movement within the center.
One of the standout features of the Rock Hidden - Build Core design is the thematic concept of interior design. Abstractly cut rocks are combined with a multilayered ceiling, creating a unique and visually striking environment. The use of tree shade further enhances the thematic concept, providing a natural and soothing atmosphere.
The design aims to tell a life tale through the elements of tree shade, rock, footprint, and nest. It takes patients on a journey to support and maintain a new life, creating a nurturing and comforting environment for both mothers and newborns.
The Rock Hidden - Build Core design has been recognized for its excellence and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2016 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity and resourcefulness, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. The design not only exhibits strong technical and creative skills but also contributes to improving the quality of life, making the world a better place.
