KREA Glasses: Redefining Drinking Glass Design

Introducing the Creative and Versatile Party Glass

With a focus on originality, sustainability, and functionality, designer SteffenO Orlowski presents the KREA glasses, a collection of innovative drinking glasses that combine artistry with practicality.

SteffenO Orlowski draws inspiration from various sources, including nature, culture, spirituality, science, and technology. The KREA glasses embody a flowing and transparent language of shapes and materials, reflecting the designer's appreciation for the relationship between water and ice.

What sets the KREA glasses apart is their simplicity and purity. The design features simple original shapes and vibrant colors, allowing the qualities of the materials to take center stage. One standout feature is the flexible and unique character of the glasses, achieved through a reduction in the traditional foot design. The contrast between the light, round, and airy vessel and the strong, straight, and massive stalk creates a visually striking aesthetic.

The KREA glasses are meticulously handcrafted using heat-resistant Borosilikat glass. The production process involves the use of a Gas-Oxygen-Burner, ensuring the highest quality and durability.

Technical specifications for the KREA glasses include three sizes: ø 11 cm, L 45cm; ø 8.5 cm, L 40 cm; and ø 7 cm, L 40 cm. These dimensions provide options for various serving needs and occasions.

The KREA glasses are tagged as stalk glass, pointed tip, accessories, mobile glass, and party glass. These keywords capture the essence of the design and its versatility in different settings.

Interacting with the KREA glasses is an experience in itself. The pointed tip at the end of the stalk allows users to place the glasses in soft grounds such as soil, sand, or snow. Additionally, the glasses can be used as fashion accessories by attaching them to belts or other creative placements. The design also enables users to hold multiple glasses in one hand, making serving effortless. For a decorative touch, the glasses can be arranged on a metal ring with a certain amount of liquid inside.

The KREA glasses have been in development since before 2000, with the publishing of the design starting in 2015. The main image of the KREA glasses is credited to photographer Rolf Koch from Lauscha, Thuringia.

While the intellectual property rights for the KREA glasses are currently in process, the design has already received recognition. In 2016, it was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware, and Cookware Design category. This prestigious award celebrates well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements.
