triX: A Revolutionary Modular Toy by Vladimir Zagorac

Unleashing Creativity and Enhancing Skills with a Unique Connectable Toy

Designed by Vladimir Zagorac, triX is an innovative modular toy that fosters creativity and socialization in children. Inspired by natural growth patterns and universal communication, this award-winning design offers endless possibilities for exploration and expression.

Vladimir Zagorac's triX is not just another toy. It is a tool for learning and development, designed to stimulate a child's spatial thinking and motor skills. The toy's unique properties lie in its modularity, allowing children to create a variety of structures, from simple patterns to complex objects and characters. This versatility encourages creativity and provides a platform for children to express different emotions using playful symbols.

triX is designed around a complex grid, derived from the four axes of a tetrahedron. The grid's hexagonal 3D structure allows for continuous form development in any direction. The toy is composed of six elements: straight and curved extensions, three and four-axis nodes, links, and caps. These elements can be combined in countless ways, offering a rich source of creative exploration.

The design of triX is not only innovative but also mindful of safety and sustainability. The toy is planned to be produced from non-toxic materials, including plastic for the nodes, extensions, and links, and rubber for the caps. The graphics are planned in non-toxic tampon and round silk-screen print, ensuring a safe play environment for children.

triX's design journey began in Belgrade, Serbia, in 2015. The design process involved extensive research into growth patterns in nature and the development of social skills through interactive play. The challenge was to create a universally understandable toy that could engage children and positively impact their creativity. The result is a toy that not only entertains but also educates and develops essential skills.

The excellence of triX's design has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2017. This award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, and triX certainly fits the bill. With its unique properties and potential for positive impact on children's development, triX is a shining example of design innovation in the world of toys.
