This apartment with an entresol showcases a unique approach to design. The furniture and color scheme are displayed on a lower ratio, highlighting the television wall that extends to the second floor. This seamless connection between the two floors creates a perfect harmony. The exquisite technique used in the television wall resonates with the dweller and the space, evoking a beautiful desire.
The materials used in this design include graceful concept stone, wall covering, special glass, and oak. These elements come together to create a medium that effectively releases stress and adds a touch of elegance to the space.
The staircase in this design is made using petrified wood and weathered wood, which have natural textures. The contrast technique allows natural light to pass through the staircase, creating a multi-angle light effect that adds depth to the space.
The arrangement of light under the staircase is a fresh and innovative design choice. It generates a contrast between light and gradation, displaying a classic charm that adds character to the overall design.
Completed between June 2014 and August 2015 in Taipei, Taiwan, this design project required careful research and planning. The extension and transformation between the two floors created a space that combines both vertical and horizontal elements. This juxtaposition defines the space clearly while also constructing a fashionable and ideal home.
One of the main challenges faced during this project was leading light into the staircase. The natural textures of the staircase's sides allow natural light to filter through, creating a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. This design aims to remove the pressures of urban living and encourage a calm and arbitrary attitude.
The Deconstruction of Light design received the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2017. This prestigious award recognizes designs that exhibit outstanding creativity and resourcefulness, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. The design contributes to quality of life improvements, making the world a better place.
