Tazetut: A Multifunctional Organizer for Your Fridge

Tazetut was inspired by the observation that fruits and vegetables often pile up on top of each other in the fridge, leading to early rotting and sometimes even being forgotten by users. To address this issue, the Tazetut project was created.

What sets Tazetut apart is its functional approach to food organizing. Through its mobile compartments, Tazetut provides users with ample storage space for fruits, vegetables, and more. By storing these items in the mobile section, Tazetut prevents them from rotting and keeps them fresh for longer periods of time.

One of the key features of Tazetut is its flexibility. Users can easily change the number of moving parts by simply dragging the plastic white sections horizontally. This allows for customization and adaptation to different storage needs.

In terms of production, Tazetut can be easily realized using today's production methods. The yellow fitting parts are made using injection molding PP, while the plastic white parts are made using injection molding ABS. The net part is produced using the extrusion method with PE, and the metal extrusion process is used for the aluminum components.

Designed to be easy to clean, Tazetut overcame the challenge of making all the parts easily washable. Additionally, the design team aimed to minimize the number of parts to simplify the user experience. By combining organization, freshness preservation, and easy cleaning, Tazetut offers a comprehensive solution for fridge organization.

Tazetut was developed as a junior year midterm project and completed in Ankara, Turkey. The design process involved extensive research on user behavior, shopping processes, and refrigerator usage. The result is a practical and innovative solution that enhances the user experience and improves food storage.

Recognized for its excellence, Tazetut was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware, and Cookware Design category in 2017. This prestigious award is given to designs that meet professional and industrial requirements, integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics.
